Last saturday, we celebrated a BIG party for the Aude's birthday in her house. The rule was to be dressing as cartoons, Disney's cartoons is possible. Some wore Ninja suits, others little babies, princesses, fairies... But undoubtely the best of the night was the spanish costume design: Dwarves !!! Alex, Nau, Juan Carlos, Enrique and me got some cloths for the layers and the beards, cushions for the bellies, belts, hats... and the best: GIANT COCKS. Just look at the photos. It was a big night for all of us, specially for those who broke his wall and his bed doing some things (ahem), and for other reasons a funny night for me as well. Enjoy the pics. El pasado sábado, celebramos una GRAN fiesta por el cumpleaños de Aude en su casa. La regla era ir vestido de dibujo animado, a ser posible, de Disney. Algunos visitieron trajes de Ninja, otros fueron de bebés, princesas, hadas... Pero sin duda alguna el mejor diseño de la noche fue el de los españoles: ¡¡¡Enanitos!!! Alex, Nau, Juan Carlos, Enrique y yo pillamos algunas telas para hacer las capas y las barbas, cojines para las panzas, cinturones, gorros... y lo mejor: POLLAS GIGANTES. Simplemente mirad las fotos. Fue una gran noche para todos nosotros, especialmente para aquellos que rompieron su pared y su cama haciendo ciertas cosas (ejem) y por otras razones también una divertida noche para mí también. Disfrutad las fotos. Que por cierto, he censurado muchas de las fotos porque podrían suponer un alto grado de vergüenza a las personas en ellas retratadas... consecuencias del alcohol xD

Pablo The Patriot

My first film in England

I went to the cinema last Tuesday. Finally !! I was afraid not to understand the plot without reading subtitles, but I really wanted to get back to the big screen after almost three months of abscence. There were a lot of films I wanted to see (The Queen, The Departed, Saw III...) but we finally decided for Little Children - the second feature of Todd Field, director of In The Bedroom, one of my favorites films of the last years. It was easy to convice my cinema companions: Laura, Emanuele and the Inlingua short french girl -I never remember her name. Two hours and a half later, we four were glad to have been able to undertand the story and most of the dialogues. However, at first I didn't like the film very much because it was really slow and dull. But Little Children is one of those films that you digest hours and days later, and only you have assimilated it, you really find out all its virtues. Really good film. And it will always have a significance for me, because it's the very first film I've seen in original version, abroad, in England. Enjoy the trailer!

El pasado martes fui al cine. ¡Al fin! Tenía de miedo de no entender la trama sin leer subtítulos, pero tenía muchas ganas de volver a la pantalla grande tras casi tres meses de ausencia. Había muchas películas que quería ver (The Queen, The Departed...) pero finalmente nos decidimos por Little Children: la segunda obra de Todd Field, director de En la Habitación, una de mis películas favoritas de los últimos años. Fue fácil convencer a mis compañeros de cine: Laura, Emanuele y la chica francesa bajita de Inlingua -nunca recuerdo su nombre. Dos horas y media después, los cuatro estábamos orgulloso de haber podido entender la historia y la mayoría de los diálogos. Sin embargo, al principio no me gustó mucho la película porque era realmente lenta y sosa. Pero Little Children es uno de esos filmes que vas digiriendo horas y días después, y sólo cuando lo has asimilado bien, realmente te das cuenta de todas tus virtudes. Una peli realmente buena. Y siempre tendrá un significado para mí, ya que es la primer película que he visto en versión original, en el extranjero, en Inglaterra. ¡Disfrutad del trailer!

Monday's Nabos Night

It's official. From now on, a group of Spanish fit guys living in Cheltenham will celebrate each Monday the Nabos Night. A drinking-party only for men, in which we can do what we want all the time with total impunity. The official members of the Nabos team (nabo = turnip in english... you understand, girls??) are Juanki, Carlos, Enrique, Pablo, Alex and me. Six crazy boys in search of the perfect evening. Maybe, it was not perfect... but we had drinks, cigarettes (Chestefierld, I missed you!!), laughing time, deep conversations... and then Moda. The little german girl would be very proud of us - you guys understand me. Enjoy the pictures and videos!!

Es oficial. Desde ahora, un grupo de tíos buenos españoles residentes en Cheltenham celebrarán cada lunes la Nabos Night. Un botelleo sólo para hombres, en el que podemos hacer lo que nos de la gana con total impunidad. Los miembros oficiales del Nabos Team son Juanki, Carlos, Enrique, Álex y yo. Seis locos en busca de la noche perfecta. Quizá no fue perfecta, pero tuvimos bebidas, cigarrillos (Chesterfield, te echaba de menos!!), risas, conversaciones profundas... y Moda: la pequeña alemana estaría orgullosa de nosotros jeje.
